Mini Shiva Subwoofer

Box volume: ~1 cubit foot
Box size: 13.5″x13.5″x13.5″ plus 3″ tall feet
Wall thickness: 0.75″, 0.5″ MDF plus 0.25″ thick plywood glued on the outside of the box
Driver: 1 bottom mounted shiva mk III
Power handling: ~400 watts, before the driver will reach its rated xmax.
-3db point: 42 Hz
Max SPL: approx 97 db anechoic at 20 Hz with 400 watts of power (according to WinISD)
Note: This subwoofer was designed to be used with active linkwitz equalization and a powerful amplifier, to make it virtually flat down to 20Hz.
More details will probably follow. I’m still waiting for a powerful enough amplifier to try out this subwoofer. Initial tests are looking good.
